Juvenile began recording raps at the age of 19, releasing his debut album, Being Myself, in 1995. He became a mainstream star in 1998 with the release of his album 400 Degreez. The album's first single "Ha" and later "Back That Azz Up" both became very successful songs, charting on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. With the success of those two singles, 400 Degreez was certified 4X platinum by the RIAA and remains Juvenile’s bestselling album to date. Other hit songs of his include “Slow Motion”, “Bounce Back”, “Set it Off”, “U Understand”, and “Follow Me Now”.
Too Short is credited as being one of the pioneer rappers of West Coast hip hop. He is best known for his hit songs "The Ghetto" and "Blow the Whistle".
The hip hop duo 8 Ball & MJG released their debut album, Comin’ Out Hard, in 1993. They have since released eight subsequent albums. Their hit songs include “Space Age Pimpin” and “Stay Fly”, a collaboration with Three 6 Mafia that peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
