With more than 30 million albums sold worldwide, Carlos Vives is considered to be a pioneer of Colombian pop music. He is the first Colombian artist to win a Grammy Award, which he won for Best Tropical Album in 2002 for Déjame Entrar, and to date has won 2 Grammy Awards and 9 Latin Grammy Awards.

Vives hit the music scene in 1986 releasing his first album, Por Fuera y Por Dentro. Balancing music with his acting career, Vives released thirteen albums between 1986 and 2009.

Following a break from the international music scene, Vives returned in 2012 and has since released two highly acclaimed albums, Corazón Profundo and Mas + Corazón Profundo. The albums have generated five #1 singles on the Latin Billboard charts with hits that include "Cuando Nos Volvamos a Encontrar” with Marc Anthony,  "El Mar De Sus Ojos", "Bailar Contigo", "Como Le Gusta A Tu Cuerpo" and "Volví a Nacer". His tenth #1 single of his career, "Nota De Amor", was a collaboration with Wisin and Daddy Yankee.

In 2015, Carlos Vives together with Marc Anthony wrapped their tour, "Unido2", which became the 6th highest grossing tour in the United States sharing the list with Taylor Swift and One Direction.
