Anthony Hamilton hit the Adult Contemporary scene in 2003 and has continued to provide hit after hit. The North Carolina native’s resume includes a platinum debut with Coming From Where I’m From in 2003. Two years later, he returned with the gold-certified sophomore set Ain’t Nobody Worryin’, which spun off the No. 1 hit “Can’t Let Go.” Then in 2008 came The Point of It All, which elicited USA Today’s declaration that Hamilton is “one of the genre’s rare singers”. Hamilton won his first Grammy Award in 2009 for his collaboration on Al Green’s “You Got the Love I Need”. Hamilton has collaborated with a bevy of other artists including Nas, Rick Ross, Carlos Santana, Jill Scott, and Tupac to name a few. Most recently, the renowned soul singer performed for President Obama with Grammy-nominated songstress, Andra Day for Smithsonian Salutes Ray Charles: In Performance at the White House. On March 25th, Hamilton released his fifth studio album, What I'm Feelin' via RCA Records, which includes the hit single, "Amen".
In 2004, Fantasia became the season three winner of Fox’s American Idol. Later that year, she released her platinum-selling debut album Free Yourself and became the first artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart to debut at #1 with her first single, “I Believe”. Fantasia’s second single, “Truth Is”, spent 14 weeks at #1, making her the first singer to simultaneously have two of the top three songs on the Billboard chart. Fantasia’s 2006 eponymous second album featured the #1 R&B single, “When I See U”, and reached gold status. In 2010, Fantasia released the critically acclaimed Back To Me, which featured the hit single “Bittersweet” that earned her first ever Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Song. Back To Me debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart, #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, and not only marked Fantasia’s first #1 R&B album but also her highest Billboard Top 200 chart ranking. In 2013, Fantasia released her fourth studio album, Side Effects of You which debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B Albums Chart and #2 on the Billboard Top 200, marking her second consecutive positions on these charts. Fantasia will release her fifth studio album this spring which will include her empowering first single “No Time For It”. In addition to being a mainstay in music, Fantasia has also added New York Times bestselling author and actress to her growing list of accomplishments.
