Michigan-born and now Nashville-based, Billy Strings is a GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician, who arrived on the scene as “one of string music’s most dynamic young stars” (Rolling Stone). Billy Strings’ 2022 tour further celebrates the release of Strings’ widely acclaimed new album, Renewal, out now via Rounder Records. With the record’s sixteen tracks, Strings shares a more personal and honest perspective through his songwriting, while incorporating his wide range of influences with elements of bluegrass, classic rock, metal, psychedelic music and more.
He's been awarded Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd GRAMMY Awards, Artist of the Year at 2022’s Americana Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2022 IBMA Awards, Best New Headliner (all genre) at the 2022 Pollstar Awards, named Entertainer of the Year and Guitar Player of the Year at the 2021 IBMA Awards along with countless sold out concerts and direct to headline sets at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, JazzFest, etc.
Billy Strings' latest record, Me/And/Dad, was released November 18, 2022 via Rounder Records - his first with his father, Terry Barber. The product of a longtime dream, the album features new versions of fourteen bluegrass and country classics that the two have been playing together since Strings was a young child.
