MIKE EPPS BRINGS “FUNNY AS ISH COMEDY TOUR” TO TAMPA’S YUENGLING CENTER WITH SPECIAL GUEST HOST SOMMORE SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2019

Comedian and actor Mike Epps brings the “Funny as ish Comedy Tour” to Tampa’s Yuengling Center Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 8:00 PM. Accompanying Epps is special guest host Sommore, Earthquake, Rickey Smiley, DC Young Fly and Lavell Crawford.

Epps is generating an extraordinary amount of buzz among his peers for being not only one of the funniest comic actors in town, but also for his burgeoning dramatic talent. He recently wrapped the Amazon feature “Troup Zero” starring opposite Viola Davis, Allison Janney, and Jim Gaffigan, and a Netflix comedy “Dolemite Is My Name” starring opposite Eddie Murphy. Epps can next be seen in the comedy “The Trap,” co-starring Tip “T.I.” Harris and produced by Epps under his NapTown productions along with Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere.

Epps will be joined on stage by some of the biggest names in comedy. Award-winning comedienne of “Chandelier Status” and special guest host for the evening, Sommore, has been featured in a number of hit films including "Soul Plane," "Something New" and "Friday After Next." She recently filmed an all-new self-produced comedy special, "A Queen With No Spades" that will air later this fall on Showtime.

Comedian, actor and voice-artist, Earthquake entered America’s households on the classic run of BET’s "Comic View" and HBO’s "Def Comedy Jam," and the special series, "One Night Stand." The “Comedian's Favorite Comedian" currently hosts his own daily show "Quake's House" on Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud Radio channel on SiriusXM.

A comedian, actor, social media influencer, musician and podcast host, DC Young Fly has proven that innate comedic ability, abundant creativity, and a passion for generating laughter in others can be translated across multiple mediums. ABOUT SOMMORE:

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Sommore has had a meteoric rise to the top of her field and has been a trailblazer for women in the comedy business. She was the first woman to host BET’s ”Comic View,” presiding over the 1994-1995 season, and in 1995, she received the Richard Pryor Award for Comic of the Year. She also has hosted Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam,” and “Showtime at the Apollo.” An integral player in the record-breaking “Queens of Comedy” tour in 2000, found her registered in the Guinness’ Book of World Records when she performed to a captivated audience of more than 50,000 people in Atlanta, Georgia. The 2001 made-for-television movie based on that tour was the highest-rated and longest running special in the history of the Showtime Network. Never one to rest on her laurels, in 2002 Sommore was featured on the “Latham Entertainment Presents” and also made her big screen debut in “Friday After Next.” Additional film appearances by Sommore include, “Family Reunion," “Soul Plane," “Something New," and “Dirty Laundry.”  Sommore has been a featured guest on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The View,” and “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher.” Other noteworthy accomplishments for Sommore include several appearances on the sitcoms “The Hughleys” and “The Parkers,” HBO’s “SNAPS” and MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out.” Sommore also participated in season six of VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club,” Comedy Central’s “Roast of Flavor Flav,” and was a regular on NBC’s game show “1 vs. 100” during the 2008 season. Comedian, actor and voice-artist, Earthquake entered America’s households on the classic run of BET’s "Comic View" and HBO’s "Def Comedy Jam," and the special series, "One Night Stand." A stand-up circuit favorite, Earthquake filmed a string of comedy specials, including "About Got Damm Time," Walter Latham Presents, "From the Outhouse to the White House" and more recently "These Ain’t Jokes" which premiered on the Showtime Network. ‘Quake’ has also been a fixture of the Shaq’s "All-Star Comedy Jam" DVD Collections. ABOUT LAVELL CRAWFORD:   

Comedian, Lavell Crawford is quickly climbing the comedic ranks and becoming one of the hottest stars in the biz today. He filmed a new one-hour special in his home town of St. Louis, “Can A Brother Get Some Love?,” and is on DVD from Entertainment One. In addition, he filmed an episode of “Workaholics” for Comedy Central and he’s been casted in a recurring role on the AMC’s Emmy Award-winning “Breaking Bad.”

If that’s not enough, he was also seen as a regular panelist on E! Entertainment’s “Chelsea Lately” and a regular on “Lopez Tonight,” performing in various comedy sketches on the show.
